Welcome to the SFHT Education Program. We are thrilled to have your children be a part of this spiritual journey. This journey is one that your children will build upon as they grow to adulthood and one that will carry them through the difficulties in their life.

Our program is based on Values, Character education and moral education. This is learnt thru the stories and our ancient scriptures. These scriptures are taught in an age appropriate manner and homework is also age appropriate.

In the first 3 years, we teach them the stories of the Hindu Scriptures, bring out the values from each story and see how the child can apply it in his/her life. IE.. B is for brother hood…. Our homework is based on reinforcing values learnt in class. Your help is needed to be active participants in your child’s /and families’ spiritual growth. The children will enjoy coming to class if they are prepared and understand the topic of discussion. So please do help them be prepared.

Our generation grew up without being told why we do the things we do.. and now if we want our children to retain our rich culture of our Hindu Traditions, we need to be more vigilant and aware of why we do the things we do, so we may help them understand it or they will not follow.

The next 3 years are for the children to understand why? They will learn the deeper meaning behind many of the scriptures, symbolism about many aspects of our Deities. This will allow them to have a broader view and help them relate it to themselves.

The final years are used to help students implement the values they have learnt in their lives by making daily decisions which will use these values. Classes are structured where open discussion is welcomed. These discussions help students maneuver through the rough terrain they face in their teen years. They debate issues important to them and it is after this they are eligible to assist as teen sevaks.
